Thanksgiving day is coming. As an international student, even though our country don't celebrate thanksgiving day, I still have something to be thankful to.
First, I am thankful for my parents, they send me abroad to receive higher education.
Second, I am thankful for Dr. Barger for being such a mice English teacher and Davis dorm parents. I really want to be a person like Dr. B in the future. Because she is wise and work really hard on what she loves. Sometimes I hope Dr.B can be my dorm parent for all four years in webb.
Third, I am thankful for Ms. Berzinskas for giving these nice ELL class. Although sometimes I will complain about the challenging grammar tests and I have the lowest grade on ELL among all of my grades. I know this is good for our international students to get accustomed to American education faster.
Fourth, I am thankful for Ria for being such a nice sweetmate, she is my favorite foreigner at Webb school for she is so funny. She learned Chinese as a foreign language and she has a really good pronunciation.
Fifth, I am thankful for my roommate Olivia. Although we didn't talk a lot during the school day because we have different classes, we still love each other so much.
Sixth, I am thankful for my adviser Ms. Newberg for being such a nice listener. During the first few weeks at Webb, I was really confused, I did;t know how to manage my time and how to relax. She listened to my really carefully and gave me many useful advices.
Seventh, I am thankful for Mrs. Mullen, She taught me a lot. Not only how to play violin well, but also how to play with a group of people. Besides, I listened to the first symphony in my life last week, and luckily Mrs. Mullen played violin in this symphony! She played so well and I really enjoyed that.
Eighth, I am thankful for aunt Sofie, One of my mothers' friends who lived in America. She is the only one who I can talk to and share my deep thought to when I was in America. When I felt really bad and stressful, I didn't want to talk to my parents for I didn't want them to feel stressful in China. Then I would call aunt Sofie and share my thought with her.
Ninth, I am thankful for the faculty member at Webb for making such nice foods
Tenth, I am most thankful to Mr. Chicken. Because I learned most in his class and he is the best teacher I have ever meet. As a freshman, I have no idea of studying history. However, Mr.Chicken taught us how to study gradually by handing off study guides and some primary source in order to help us both learn history well and learn how to study by ourselves.
